NaSoAlMo: National Solo Album Month
About NaSoAlMo
Press
- NaSoAlMo on NPR's All Things Considered: November 25, 2005
- A Short and Sweet Solo Album Contest
History
Freelance journalist and critic Douglas Wolk conceived NaSoAlMo in 2004 as a "blatant rip-off" of Chris Baty's popular authors' challenge, NaNoWriMo. Doug codified the rules and organized the competition until writing deadlines pulled him away in 2006. Todd Gehman currently organizes the competition, maintains the website, and records one terrible album each November.
